Coined as the friendliest beach for sea turtles, Pagudpud continues to soar high in the seas as the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) – Cenro Bangui headed by CENR Officer of Northen Ilocos Norte, forester Noemi A. Ruadap conducted a meeting in accordance with the memorandum of agreement to have Saud, the official nesting area in Pagudpud.

Present in the event are the Barangay captains of coastal barangays, Lifeguards, and the North Luzon Renewable (NLR) Energy Corporation Personnel – Mr. Raymund Sesuca, Responsibility Officer and chief forester, Eduardo Angadol, NRL head.

According to the town’s fishermen, during the months of November-January, sea turtles have been laying eggs in the coastal areas.

Today, as the event concluded, Saud will be named as the official nesting area of sea turtles in the Municipality of Pagudpud.
